Terms & Conditions

  1. By submitting an application for The Peak Laureates 2020 (the "Award"), each applicant agrees to be bound by and to comply with these Terms and Conditions (the "T&Cs") and any amendments, additions, replacements, variations and modifications thereto.
  2. Each applicant affirms the accuracy of all information provided to the Organiser. Any misrepresentation of any fact or particulars (deemed material by the Organiser) shall result in disqualification.
  3. The Judging Panel’s decisions are final and binding and no enquiries, appeals, verbal or written, shall be entertained. The applicants shall accept and abide by any and all decisions made by the Award concerning, without limitation, these Rules and Regulations and procedures relating to the Award and any other matters relating to the Award.
  4. The Judging Panel and Organiser have the right to reject or disqualify any entry.
  5. The Organiser reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to substitute, withdraw, add to or alter any aspects of the Award content (including and not limited to the Congratulatory Package entitlements) as stated on the Award website (thepeaktechlaureates.com) in its sole and absolute discretion. Any changes will be posted on the Award website.
  6. Applicants are to submit projects undertaken by their Singapore team. The project may be local or regional (APAC), and must be completed in 2018 or 2019.
  7. By submitting an entry, each applicant agrees that:
    1. any and all personal data submitted may be collected, used and/or disclosed to SPH Magazines Pte Ltd and its related corporations (collectively, the “SPH Group”) for various purposes, including to communicate with the applicant for purposes related to the Award, to provide goods and services to the applicant upon request, and for such purposes in relation to which the applicant has otherwise provided SPH Group with consent;
    2. SPH Group may collect, use, disclose and share amongst themselves and their respective service providers, the applicant’s personal data, including the photographs or audio-video or other recordings of these applicants (collectively, the “Material”), in its original or edited format, for publicity and/or use in advertisements across all media, including, without limitation, in SPH Group’s publications, presentations, promotional materials on their websites, in its original or edited format, and whether to promote the Award or otherwise without further notification, remuneration or compensation; and
    3. the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all Material shall vest solely and absolutely in SPH without further compensation.
  8. All entries and supporting documents will be kept strictly confidential by the Organiser and their information shall be used in connection with this Award.
  9. The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss) or damage in connection with registration for, attendance at, participation in, postponement or cancellation of the Award, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
  10. The applicant agrees to indemnify and hold the SPH Group and their respective officers, directors and employees, harmless from all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, penalties and costs, losses and/or expenses, due to or arising out of the applicant's participation in the Award, and/or the applicant's breach or non-compliance with any of the T&Cs.
  11. Each Winner shall be required to purchase a Congratulatory Package of its choice once it has been notified of its award. In the event that an applicant wins more than one award, such applicant will be required to purchase a package for each award it receives. If a Winner decides to withdraw from The Peak Laureates 2020 after it has received notification that it has won an award, such Winner shall be required to bear the cost of the Standard Congratulatory Package.
  12. Winners shall be granted a license to use the Award logo and assets created for them by The Peak (images, videos and/or stories, where applicable) on their own commercial platforms, including their marketing and promotional materials.
  13. Each Winner must assign a representative to receive their award at the Awards Gala.
  14. All dates and times conveyed on the Awards website are based on SGT.
